When reporting absences, parents/guardians should state the student's:
- name and ID number (as it appears on their Student ID Card / Student Timetable)
- date of absence
- reason for absence
- expected duration
Public Liability Inusrance
MacGregor SHS as a public school supported by Education Queensland has public liability insurance. The school Business Manager can be contacted via the main administration to support any request for further details about the school's public liability insurance.

Parents and visitors can access the school in person via the main entrance on Blackwattle Street and are required to report to the Main Administration.
Student access to the school is via the pedestrian gates located on Springfield Street, Blackwattle Street or Wadley Street.
