JFMEDIA-HollandPark-300DPI-25.jpgMacGregor State High School is a high-achieving school where learning and growth sit at the centre of everything we do. The school is committed to academic success for all students and to preparing young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to thrive in the future and shape the world around them.

Established in 1969, the school is named after Sir William MacGregor, an early Governor of Queensland. MacGregor State High School acknowledges its Scottish heritage and proudly wears the MacGregor tartan. Today, the school is an inclusive and diverse learning community that values all cultures and embeds First Nations histories and perspectives into its school culture.

Teaching at MacGregor is engaging, relevant and evidence-informed. Students are explicitly taught what quality work looks like, how to think critically, and how to take increasing ownership of their learning, supporting the development of confident, capable and curious lifelong learners.

The school offers a broad curriculum with opportunities for excellence across academic subjects, sport and the arts. Students are encouraged to pursue their strengths, challenge themselves and discover new and unexpected areas of interest. A range of pathways supports students into further study, training and employment.

At MacGregor, students are known, supported, and learning is taken seriously. The school values scholarship, effort and growth, and expects every student to strive for The Best We Can Be.

MacGregor State High School is proud of the opportunities it provides and the achievements of its students. It is a place where young people are well prepared for success beyond school.

I invite you to explore the website to learn more about the school.
