At MacGregor State High School, Junior Secondary focuses on supporting students to make a successful transition from primary school into high school. We recognise that the move into secondary education is an important stage of development, and our Years 7 and 8 programs are designed to provide students with the academic foundations, organisational skills, confidence, and support they need to thrive.
Our Junior Secondary program is grounded strongly in the Australian Curriculum and provides students with a broad and balanced education across the core learning areas. Students study:

- Health and Physical Education (one semester)
- A Language (one semester) — Chinese, Japanese, or German
